MOZAIC: A Global Reciprocal Mentoring Experience for EMCC Asia Pacific

Interested in learning about and collaborating with other cultures? Keen to mentor others and be mentored in return? If that sparks your interest, read on, and welcome to MOZAIC – The Global Reciprocal Mentoring Programme run by EMCC Romania!

What is the MOZAIC programme?

MOZAIC is a structured, six-week reciprocal mentoring experience designed to promote continuous professional growth, cross-cultural learning, and reflective practice.

At its core, MOZAIC is about shared development; providing a safe space where professional mentors can reflect, share and learn from each other; and a conduit to strengthening professional mentoring — collectively at both the EMCC country level and as EMCC Global.

The MOZAIC programme has achieved EMCC Gold Level accreditation in Mentoring and Coaching Programmes (ISMCP) and is offered to and participated in by EMCC members all over the world. After a successful trial last year, MOZAIC is finally available for EMCC Asia Pacific!

MOZAIC OFFERS YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Connect with a mentor, mentee, and reflection partner
  • Establish a meaningful mentoring relationship, and
  • Expand your reflective practice.

The areas of expertise for mentors and development for mentees include personal development and support, work contexts, professional challenges, business acumen, and developing your own business.

Note: this programme is not intended as an opportunity to promote or sell products & services between participants.

Why participate in MOZAIC?

MOZAIC is an ideal initiative for those looking for career support, those moving or working between countries, and anyone who wants to:

  • Continuously learn and receive feedback from their professional colleagues
  • Benefit from exposure to a range of professional models and/or specific expertise
  • Experience a different form of continuing professional development
  • Expand their cultural awareness and networks
  • Participate with global EMCC members in a well-structured and reputable reciprocal mentoring program
  • Use supervision, mentoring and reflection for ongoing professional support and growth.

What does MOZAIC involve?

Each MOZAIC reciprocal mentoring cohort runs for 6 weeks. During that time, registered participants undertake two roles, for a minimum of 1 hour per role, per cohort:

  • Mentor: where you mentor a peer on a topic they choose
  • Mentee:where you are mentored on a topic you choose

OR

  • Reflective Partner (called Reflection-in Pairs): where you reflect together on an EMCC reflective theme.

In addition, you need to attend group supervision and/or group mentoring or group reflection, as follows:

  • Each mentor participates in one group supervision, one group reflection, and one group mentoring session.
  • Each mentee participates in one group reflection and one group mentoring session.
  • All Reflective Partners participate in one group reflection session and one group mentoring session.

What is it like to participate in MOZAIC?

“Participating in MOZAIC has given me a safe, productive space to reflect and grow alongside partners in Europe and Asia — deepening my knowledge and awareness in ways that have genuinely enriched my practice. The programme’s administration is impressively clear and well-structured, with well-defined roles, expectations, and timely communication.

The learning opportunities are wonderfully varied: 1:1 mentoring (as both mentor and mentee), reflective partnering to build “the reflection muscle,” and group reflection, mentoring and supervision sessions with culturally diverse practitioners.

Though we each brought different personal, cultural, and social perspectives, we shared a deep appreciation of the mentoring process — and discovered the power of relevant, provocative, co-created conversations to drive mutual learning. Thank you, EMCC Romania.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What Continuous Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) recognition is available for me if I participate in MOZAIC?

Your participation in MOZAIC will be recognised and may be logged in the following ways:

1. You will receive a MOZAIC Certificate, at the end of 2026, which acknowledges the number of MOZAIC series (rounds) you participated in during the calendar year.

You are also encouraged to log your participation hours as follows:

2. In your EMCC Client Log, you can record:

Mentoring sessions delivered as a mentor. Feedback from your mentee(s) offers a strong basis upon which to reflect on the effectiveness of your practice and evaluation of outcomes (Competence 8: Evaluation).

3. In your EMCC Reflective Practice Log, you can record:

  • Reflections on onboarding and the quiz, including reading the MOZAIC Guide and FAQs.
  • Your experience as a mentee, as part of your ongoing learning and development journey (Competence 2: Commitment to Self-Development).
  • Structured reflection on the EMCC Global Code of Ethics and your ethical maturity development, gained through your participation in Reflection in Pairs.
  • Learning you gain through the Group Reflection and Group Mentoring sessions.

4. In your EMCC Supervision Log, you can record:

Group Supervision sessions, including reflection on supervision. This can deepen insight into your mentor role, complementing the minimum of four individual supervision sessions per year required for EMCC Global accreditation.

I am not available during this time. Will there be other opportunities to join MOZAIC?

Yes. MOZAIC runs six cohorts throughout the year. You will be advised prior to each new cohort becoming available and open for registration.

How does mentor matching happen?

Mentor-mentee matching is automated, based on the interests and preferences you provide during registration.

How will I know if I am accepted into MOZAIC?

The MOZAIC platform and team provide comprehensive communication to participants via email. You can feel confident that you will be informed of the what, who and when of MOZAIC.

What support materials do I have access to?

MOZAIC has a detailed programme guide. This is a wonderful resource which explains each step of the reciprocal mentoring process and provides guidance for your role as a mentor, mentee, and/or reflective partner.
