EMCC Asia Pacific Online Events
PURPOSE
EMCC Asia Pacific is committed to creating professional, respectful, and psychologically safe online learning environments. This policy outlines how recordings and images may be captured and used during online events, and the expectations of participant conduct.
RECORDING OF ONLINE EVENTS
Some EMCC Asia Pacific online events may be recorded for purposes such as professional development, learning resources, quality assurance, and organisational communications.
Recording decisions are made based on the nature and purpose of each event. Events designed for reflection, personal sharing, or confidential discussion are not recorded, in order to support trust, openness, and psychological safety.
Where an event is recorded, participants will be informed verbally at the commencement of the session. If no such announcement is made, participants can assume the session is not being recorded.
USE OF RECORDINGS
Recordings may capture participant names, voices, images, or contributions (including questions or comments shared verbally or via chat).
EMCC Asia Pacific commits to:
- Using recordings responsibly and in alignment with organisational values and ethics
- Storing recordings securely and limiting access as appropriate
- Not selling or licensing recordings to third parties without proper permission
Participants with specific concerns about being included in recordings are encouraged to contact EMCC Asia Pacific prior to the event.
SCREENSHOTS AND SHARING
Participants may take screenshots for personal reference or to share general reflections about an event (for example, on social media).
When sharing publicly, participants are asked to:
- Focus on learnings, themes, or presenter content
- Avoid sharing content that could reasonably be considered personal, sensitive, or confidential
- Be mindful of the privacy of other participants
Participants may not make full recordings or share substantial portions of an event without prior written permission from EMCC Asia Pacific.
PARTICIPANT CONDUCT AND ETHICAL ALIGNMENT
All EMCC Asia Pacific events are hosted in alignment with the EMCC Global Code of Ethics and organisational values, including professionalism, respect, inclusion, and psychological safety.
Participants are expected to engage respectfully with speakers, facilitators, and fellow participants, and to respect the confidentiality of shared experiences and discussions.
